His presentations are illustrated with scenic photographs from around the state. Public Programs
Lapham Peak Unit, Kettle Moraine State Forest-Southern Unit: August 30, 2025
Jim will be presenting a program featuring Wisconsin State Parks and Forests at the Lapham Peak Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest-Southern Unit on Saturday, August 30 at 11:00 a.m. Following the presentation, Jim’s book, Wisconsin State Parks, Forests, and Recreation Areas: A Ranger’s Guide, will be available for sale along with a book signing. The program will be held at the Hausmann Nature Center, W329N846 Co. Hwy. C, Delafield, WI.
"Authorfest" at Point Beach State Forest: September 6, 2025
Jim will be joining other Wisconsin authors as part of Point Beach State Forest's "Authorfestaramapalooza" on Saturday, September 6 from noon to 3 p.m. He will give a 10-minute presentation featuring his book, and autographed copies will be available to purchase. The Friends of Point Beach will be doing raffles and selling beverages as a fundraiser for the parks' new playground equipment. The event will be held at the Point Beach State Forest Nature Center, 9400 Co. Hwy. O, Two Rivers, WI.
Richfield Historical Society: September 25, 2025
Jim will be presenting a program featuring Wisconsin State Parks and Forests at the Richfield Historical Society on Thursday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m. Following the presentation, Jim’s new book, Wisconsin State Parks, Forests, and Recreation Areas: A Ranger’s Guide, will be available for sale along with a book signing. The program will be held at the Richfield Fire Hall, Hwy. 175, Richfield, WI 53076.
"Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books," Waukesha: November 8, 2025
Jim will be presenting a one-hour panel on Wisconsin State Parks and Forests at the Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books on Saturday, November 8 (time to be determined). The program will be held at the Carroll University Campus at Waukesha, 2727 N. Grandview Blvd, Ste 301.
Women's Tuesday Club of Neenah: November 11, 2025
Jim will be presenting a program featuring Wisconsin State Parks and Forests for the Women's Tuesday Club of Neenah on Tuesday, November 11 at 1:30 p.m. Following the presentation, Jim’s new book, Wisconsin State Parks, Forests, and Recreation Areas: A Ranger’s Guide, will be available for sale along with a book signing. The program will be held at the Boys and Girls Brigade, 109 W. Columbian Ave., Neenah, WI 54956.
